WATCHING FOR H5 BIRD FLU

Bird flu

It mainly affects birds, but can also affect other animals, and, on rare occasions, humans.
We are asking everyone to:
Š Be safe when entering wildlife areas and keep your distance if you see sick or dead birds.

Š Do not handle or remove dead birds and wildlife, or those with suspected H5 bird flu.
If you find multiple dead birds or other animals, AVOID contact, RECORD the location, date and time and take a photo if possible and REPORT it to the Emergency Animal Disease hotline on 1800 675 888
