A workshop for the Sailing Committee and Race Officers with Guest speaker Geoffrey Searle 

Geoffrey Searle is a retired National Judge with vast experience and mentor to our club from Royal Geelong Yacht Club

In this workshop we will explore our rules and how breaches might be applied on course, after a race and through a protest

Topics covered in this workshop will include:

• The composition and role of a protest committee
• Typical protests situations and case studies 
• Actions on the course
• Formalising and processing a protest
• and a lot more

Frank McMahon and Colin Gibb have accepted the role as members of a protest committtee for 2026 - 27 season and will be in attendance 

Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided.
